Liam Gallagher has unveiled plans for a 2024 tour across the United Kingdom and Ireland, commemorating the 30th anniversary of Oasis’s debut album “Definitely Maybe.”
Gallagher took to Instagram with his announcement, exclaiming, “I’m excited to reveal the ‘Definitely Maybe’ tour. The most crucial album of the ’90s, without a doubt. I owe everything to it, and so do you. Let’s celebrate together.”
“Definitely Maybe,” Oasis’s studio album, remains the sole record to feature all five original members, including the Gallagher brothers, Noel and Liam, along with Paul Arthurs, Paul McGuigan, and Tony McCarroll. The album, released in 1994, achieved massive success, earning platinum certifications in the U.S. and the U.K., while selling 8.5 million copies globally. It included iconic tracks like “Rock ‘n’ Roll Star,” “Shakermaker,” “Live Forever,” “Up in the Sky,” “Columbia,” “Supersonic,” “Bring It On Down,” “Cigarettes & Alcohol,” “Digsy’s Dinner,” “Slide Away,” and “Married with Children.”
Following an acrimonious split in 2009 between the Gallagher brothers, Liam Gallagher is set to kick off the tour in Sheffield on June 1, 2024, with additional performances scheduled in London, Manchester, Cardiff, Glasgow, and Dublin.
Liam Gallagher’s representatives expressed, “Liam will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the release of Oasis’s all-conquering and massively influential debut album by embarking on the ‘Definitely Maybe 30 Years’ arena tour in 2024. The tour will see Liam perform the ‘Definitely Maybe’ album in its entirety for the first time, along with select b-sides from that era. The sets will naturally be filled with classics – ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Star,’ ‘Live Forever,’ ‘Supersonic,’ and ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol,’ to name a few. It will also offer a rare opportunity to hear other album tracks that have seldom, if ever, been performed since the mid-’90s, including ‘Up In The Sky’ and ‘Digsy’s Dinner.'”
Ticket sales are set to commence on October 20.
