Celebrating its 10th anniversary, Immedicare, born from the collaboration of Airedale NHS Foundation Trust and Involve Visual Collaboration, has expanded its repertoire of services catering to care home residents. This digital service has made it possible for care home residents to receive clinical consultations within the comfort of their homes, eliminating the need for them to journey to a hospital. Recently, Immedicare broadened its services to encompass seven crucial care elements in alignment with the Enhanced Health in Care Homes (EHCH) framework.
One noteworthy addition is the falls service, facilitating remote assessments of residents who have experienced a fall, as well as the formulation of a falls risk assessment and prevention plan. This development has led to an impressive 85.5% of residents being able to remain in their homes after a fall, negating the necessity of an unwarranted trip to the Accident & Emergency department. Furthermore, Immedicare has integrated a Consultant Pharmacist into its multidisciplinary team, offering invaluable support for medicines optimization and complex case consultations.
The service has also introduced an array of core skills training programs, meticulously designed to enhance the skills of care home staff and optimize the care provided to their residents. Over the past year, more than 1,200 care staff members have successfully completed these courses.
In tandem with these enhanced services, Immedicare proudly unveiled a fresh brand identity in celebration of its decade-long journey. This new branding will be prominently featured across all of Immedicare’s digital marketing platforms and will find a presence within the Digital Care Hub located at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust.
Marie Buchan, Head of Digital Care Hub at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “We are excited about our new brand identity and its potential to raise awareness of the enhanced clinical services. It is a testament to how the new care elements will enhance the support Immedicare extends to the staff and residents in care homes.”
Mick Roach, Director of Digital Healthcare Alliances at Immedicare, added, “We take immense pride in reaching this remarkable 10-year milestone and launching our new brand identity. It mirrors the significant evolution that Immedicare has undergone over the past two years, enhancing the services it provides to its users.”
